Follow the A35 from Bridport westwards towards Lyme Regis.
After the brow of a big hill you will descend into Chideock village. You will pass the George Inn on your right.
50 yards further on you will see a small lane RUINS LANE on the right. Turn right immediately after Chimneys into the Lane. Ashley Cottage is 50 yards up the lane on the left.
